If we treated our Bible like we do our cellphone 1 Year, 5 Months ago
What if we treated our Bible like we do our cellphone?

We would carry it everywhere we go.
If we forgot it, we would turn around to go get it.
We couldn't live without it.
We would check it often for messages from text.
We would us it in emergencies.
We would give it away to our kids as gifts.

This is an excellent examply of the way we should treat our Bibles. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us Bro. Garry.

Yep, I have to take to task teenagers at church very often. They seem to always have there cell phones in their pocket at church, but a few of them don't bring their bible with them.

That's a great little challenge. We need to treat the Word of God much better than we do.

People are always talking about needing a new cell phone because they wore the old one out using it so much. Can't say I've heard a lot of people buying new Bibles every 2 years because they used it so much they need a new one.

Sadly, it's the truth these days.

A bible that is falling apart, usually belongs to someone who isn't.

There's not much of a demand for insurance for Bibles like there is for cell phones.

Though the cover is worn
And the pages are torn
Though places bear traces of tears,
Yet more precious than gold
Is this book worn and old
That can shatter and scatter my fears.
This old book is my guide
Tis a friend by my side
It will lighten and brighten my way.
And His promise I find
soothes and gladdens my mind
As I read it and heed it each day.

This is a poem that I've heard Dr. Clyde Box quote many times.
