Hello,
I am curious to get ideas from everyone about promotions, games, songs, activities, and whatever else you have for Sunday School Classes, Bus Routes, Van Routes, and the various Jr. Churches that you may have. Also, if anyone has any ideas for object lessons that will aid in relaying the message to the audience I would be grateful.

Please be open minded, but remember that not all of us have the same beliefs, but all of us should have the same goal.

I guess we're not to creative around here, brother...I imagine to most folk, we at Lighthouse Baptist Church are pretty vanilla. I don't believe it means we love the Lord any less, but our "style" - for better or for worse - does not involve many games and promotions.

What I have started doing with our adult Bible Class [i.e. Sunday School] is meeting with them in our fellowship hall and getting them around tables. I've set it up like a real class room and have structured our lesson like a regular school lesson. My train of thought here is, "We call it Bible Class or Sunday School...why not treat it as a class?"

I've already seen some great feedback. The folks have more opportunity to respond [as I lead them], and even in their faces I can tell an acute observation and attentiveness during our time together.

My goal here is to glorify God by having our folks walk away with more Bible knowledge to apply, and therefore having wisdom.

I have the privilege of teaching a class for teenagers and sometimes we haul all of our chairs outside and have class under a tree. This can be a good idea as long as you as a leader learn how to minimize the distractions that may become a reality. The teenagers always respond positively to the move and we usually end up having a lot of fun.
