The Presidential Inauguration 1 Year, 7 Months ago
|
|
|
Well, folks, I'm headed off for the inauguration. If you are watching it on TV, watch for me in the crowd. I'll be one of the guys in the army blues standing at attention in the aisles in between the thousands of people sitting in the lawn at the capital building. I'll see you all tomorrow afternoon. Bye!

I'll not be watching the event. It just seems a little over the top for me. We are fighting a war on terror in multiple theaters and are in the middle of the biggest economic crisis since Jimmy Carter was in office and the Dems say they will lead by example. So they are throwing the biggest Inaugural celebration in history. I know it is a historical event, but it seems more like some sort of world event where we are crowning a king.
Nick I'll just wait on you to tell us how it went.

Well, I got out to lunch late and while I was at home I did watch President Obama take the oath.
The Patriotism of the Event was pretty awesome.
I'm still proud to be an American!!
God Bless the U.S.A.

Wow! The magnificence of an unparalleled horse and pony show. No slight on what you said loyaldefender, it is just that we are in for dark days and this south side chicago dali-bama is supposed to be the one who will bring us out? Right. Sure.
It's time that we hang our harps on the trees as we go further into the one world system that Bushy-boy guided us toward.
May God have mercy on the USA.

I didn't speak to the "horse and pony" show. I was only speaking of the "Red, White, and Blue" of the event.
I didn't vote for him. Not happy about the Liberal/Socialist take over of our government.
The U.S.A has serious problems, but I'm still Patriotic and will not apologize for it.
Will I still pray for our leaders and our country?
You betcha.

I still had a pretty good time while I was there. I got to personally see five presidents and their wives, a whole bunch of Senators and Representatives, a bunch of governors (including Arnold), Don King, John Cusack, Dustin Hoffman, 47 Medal of Honor recipients (I got to shake most of their hands), and a hundred or so of the original Tuskegee Airmen. I also saw Oprah, but that's not really worth mentioning. Some of my friends said that they saw Beyonce (I guess she is a singer), Jessica Alba and a few other celebrities.
P.S. That poem was the worst poem that I have ever heard.

It was so bad that I quit watching and went and started supper for that evening.
I know a fourth grader who could have done a better job.

Bro. loyaldefender, I want to apologize if I offended you, that was not my intention and I will add that I understand what you were talking about. There were alot of things that were present that need to be honored and reverenced. Our men in uniform, our flag, the Holy Bible not to mention the veterans who were present and have already paid a price for the opportunity to accomplish what was happening. I am with you on all this.
Yet, the dali-bama is the complete oxymoron to the whole thing. The ceremony is to induct into office a man who is to be a statesman and not a politician. It is for a man who has not just the "click" word "values", but for one who has morals. Hussein has neither. He made it circus complete with the clown. He snickered and agreed with the Lewis on the closing prayer that called on all white men to aquiesse to being at fault for all the ills of society (the society of all men of color). He was right in principle but not on target. Racism is still alive in America. We have a president that allowed a racist preacher pray a racist prayer to a racist god. The dali-bama, messiah of the left laughed through the end. I personally believe that every speech and every word that was to be spoke was checked by Obama and he knew about it. That makes him an accomplice.

That is exactly right. I still can't believe that it was allowed to go on like that.
