Missions Trips 2 Years, 2 Months ago
Lamentations 3:51 Mine eye affecteth mine heart... If you have ever been on the mission field or on a missions trip you know this to be true.

Tell us about some of your experiences on a missions trip that you've taken where God allowed your eyes to affect your heart.

I live just 30 miles outside of the worlds greatest mission field: New York City! Every nation of the world is represented here. Every language and tongue can be heard. We have regular missions into the city. Our last missions trip we did was when the Pope came to town. We had 5 from my church go. It was an eye opener to the religion of Catholicism. The streets were lined with worshippers- not of our Lord, but of the Pope. They call him vicar of Christ. We call him anti- Christ.

On one of these trips a few years ago, we met a young man from Bangladesh. He was here on a workers visa. I witnessed to him and he fell under deep conviction about his sin. He soon repented of his religion and accepted Christ as his Saviour. God began to do many miracles in his life and burdened him about his home country of Bangladesh. He returned to his country and is now doing a wonderful work among 99.7% Muslim population. He is the only Independent Fundamental Baptist Missionary that I know of in Bangladesh. Please pray for him. His name is Nathaniel Hazra. He serves God under distress and persecution like you and I have never seen. See his blog here:

That is truly amazing how cultures split up in big cities and that a certain section of town can be predominately a certain culture.

Hi Jude,

Catholics do not worship the Pope. Catholics worship God. What you have said here is not true, and I would like you to not say false things about Catholics.

Vicar of Christ means representative of Christ. It does not mean that the Pope is Christ. Jesus commissioned St. Peter to be his representative as seen in John 21:15-17 when Jesus told St. Peter to “Feed my lambs”, “Tend my sheep”, and “Feed my sheep”.
